Description
This project is an interactive program designed to train university-level music students in the relationship between the visual representation of the notes on sheet music and the sound that one hears when the same note is played by an instrument. The user is provided a great deal of theory and puts that information into practice with exercises. A typical exercise consists of listening to a piece of music and placing the each of the corresponding notes on a staff to match the played piece.
Project Role
Programmer for OmniMedia Group. Programming included Lingo programming, designing the dynamic menu system, interface design on some of the program sections, and playback of hard-coded and real-time created music via orchestral instrument samples and Quicktime.
